Wrestling Action – Versus

Physically attempt to restrain and pin an opponent. Some skills or weapons may be used, but generally unarmed.

  • Prerequisites:
    Must be within melee reach of target
  • Reach
    If one player has a longer reach weapon than the other, they get an additional face up card for each level of reach they have in excess of their opponent.

Results:
Win => 7: Move Wrestle Progression 4 in the favorable direction, take wrestling action or Hit for Catastrophic Damage
Win 5-6: Move Wrestle Progression 3 in the favorable direction, take wrestling action or Hit for Enhanced Damage
Win 2-4: Move Wrestle Progression 2 in the favorable direction, take wrestling action or Hit for Standard Damage
Win 1: Move Wrestle Progression 1 in the favorable direction, take wrestling action or Hit for Basic Damage
Withdraw:

  • Conditions
    Must be able to take step action
    Must have room to take step action
    Step Action must put minimum 1 square between an attacker
    Wrestle condition not initiated
  • Cost
    Buy-In Lost
    All Bets Lost
  • Result
    Opponents no longer engaged are refunded wager:
    Opponents no longer engaged are not refunded buy-in
  • Basic Wrestling Actions
  • Unhand – remove 1 item from opponent’s hands
  • Change Position – Move all participants one position (Standing, Kneeling, On the Ground)
  • Standard Wrestling Actions
  • Pain Submission – May expend sweat to do tears Damage to Opponent
    • Low: 1S for 1T
    • Mid: 1S for 1.5T (Round down)
    • High: 1S for 2T
    • Expert: 1S for 3T
  • Takeaway: Remove 1 item kept on the opponent’s person
  • Move: Relocate all involved parties 1 square in any direction
  • Enhanced Wrestling Actions
  • Sleeper Hold – May expend sweat to do sweat damage to opponent
    • Low: 1S for 2S
    • Mid: 1S for 3S
    • High: 1S for 4S
    • Expert: 1S for 6S
  • Restrain: Allow an outside party to tie up the opponent or get an unstoppable enhanced attack
  • Throw: Take an unstoppable throw action with the opponent in the next round, can be assisted by someone not in the wrestling

Wrestling Progression

As opponents wrestle there are 4 stages of advantage, any player with the advantage may withdraw from the wrestling condition.

-0- Neutral: The wrestling condition is given to all participants, but no one has the advantage
-1- Put Over: Slight advantage in the wrestling, may take some basic actions
-2- Held: Significant advantage in the wrestling, may take standard or lessor actions
-3- Pinned: Total advantage in the wrestling, may take enhanced or lessor actions
