Reaction Actions

During a round of play events may turn out in such a way that a character wants to change the action they are taking in the specific round. They must take a reaction action to change mid-round. Reaction Actions are also used to determine some combat initiation scenarios, such as a quick draw.

Reaction actions are a single cut card to the character that is attempting the action. If multiple players are attempting a reaction, it is better for game play to give them all face down cards and have them revealed at the same time.

The players skill will determine the break for the reaction and if the card is equal to or higher than their break, they will succeed.

Reactions occur in between resolution of the current phase and bets for the next phase. The new action taking place may not count any cards or use any part of the skill that occurred in resolved phases. Reactions that occur during the Action Decision or Deal may use all remaining phases for the new action.
