Gremlins – Species
Gremlins are a mischievous species, a mysterious nuisance in the west. They appear from nowhere, raid and steal and then disappear without a trace. They are fond of the fancy and the mechanical. Anything that is lacy, frilly, silky, golden, has gears, levers or hinges attracts them.
They all have a flair for the extravagant, each raiding party dressed in fine Napoleonic military garb, but no two uniforms alike. Brightly colored and covered in ribbons, sashes and medals the gremlins charge without care for safety into battle.
For all their penchant for raiding, they are not intentionally murderous and if a party surrenders to them, they will simply take what they want and leave.
Gremlins slain in combat are also mysterious in that within a minute their bodies decay into dust and anything of their manufacturing decays a few minutes later. This has made any serious inquiry into what they are and where they come from nearly impossible. However, any non-gremlin items in their possession remain.
Their technology seems to be 50-100 years behind that of the current human world. They fight with black powder rifles, muskets and single shot pistols. These weapons function like Rifles, Carbines and Heavy Revolvers except they must be reloaded after each shot.

Hiding/Concealing: Hiding something on their person or in a location
Inquiry: Basic social skill for asking questions of a willing participant.
Interrogation (age 15+): Coercing information from an unwilling source
Intimidation (age 15+): Threating harm to gain compliance
Melee: Non-ranged exchanging of blows
Searching: Basic skill for physically interacting with a location, looking for a specific target.
Shooting (age 15+): Using firearms
Throwing: Chucking, yeeting, tossing, etc.
Use Tools: Using basic tools to cut, chop, pry, scoop, shovel, hit etc.
Wrestling: Attempting to physically control another character
